English Grammar
Some people will tell you that grammar is not the hardest part about learning English, or that learning English grammar is simpler than learning that of other languages. But the truth is that with any new language, grammar is a challenge!

Do you prefer a formal lesson on the present continuous tense with workbook sheets and homework? Or would you rather have someone look over an email you wrote and show you how the use of that tense could be improved? Speaking and Pronunciation
Most of our communication happens out loud, in conversation, and for most students it's the main thing they're worried about. If you aren't comfortable with conversational English, then you really aren't comfortable in the language.

While there are plenty of opportunities to practice your conversational English in Seattle, speaking with a one-on-one teacher is different. Most polite people will not point out grammatical mistakes you make in conversation. Our professional students are often fluent in English, but are looking to make small improvements in certain areas, such as in the tone of written documents or the use of the jargon of their particular field. Many students are quite comfortable chatting about the weather but can get flustered when trying to give a clear explanation of how a certain network function operates.
